Marc Bamuthi Joseph wins Doris Duke Foundation Award!
National Poetry Month brings better news every day! Dahled let us know that veteran poet and Slammaster Marc Bamuthi Joseph has been awarded the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Award.
Marc is a National Poetry Slam Champion (Team San Francisco - 1999), Slammaster, YouthSpeaks co-founder, Def Poet, artistic director for HBO's Brave New Voices series, and brilliant multidisciplinary artist.

Hakim Bellamy named ABQ Poet Laureate

Poetry slam veteran Hakim Bellamy was named the 1st ever Poet Laureate of Albuquerque. Hakim is a lifetime member of PSi for winning the 2005 National Poetry Slam. Congratulations to Hakim, and to the City of Albuquerque.

Dominique Ashaheed Wins WoWPS 2012
We have a new champ! Congratulations Dominique Ashaheed! 2nd place goes to Porsha O. 3rd Place goes to Kait Rokowski and 4th Place goes to Joanna Hoffman! Congratulations to all of you!
The 2012 Women of the World Poetry Slam was an amazing festival, culminating in a sold-out finals show! Thank you to all of the wonderful people who made it amazing. Huge thanks and all our love to Suzie Q and the Denver team. Great job!
